My Growing Belly!

So long as the rest of the pregnancy goes smoothly, we won't have any more ultrasounds. So from now on we can only see our baby girl growing by looking at my growing belly. :)

Baby Ryan is a GIRL!

At our third ultrasound at 20 weeks we were thrilled to find out that Baby Ryan is a GIRL! Wes thought we were having a little girl the whole time and he was right!

Here are a couple profile shots of our baby girl.

We're so excited to welcome this little girl into the world (around October 26th) but we're keeping her name a secret until then.

Baby Ryan - 1st Ultrasound

At our first ultrasound we got to see our (very little) munchkin for the first time! We were told that the baby was about the size of a blueberry at this point (7 weeks 3 days).

On the morning of Wednesday February 18th, 2009 I was delighted to find out that Wes and I were expecting our first child.
I couldn't wait for Wes to get home that night so I could tell him the wonderful news! He walked in the door to candle light that led him up the stairs...


He was led into the future "nursery" to find a picture of the home pregnancy test sitting in the chair my grandpa made me for my first birthday along with Wes' favorite childhood teddy bear.

When we were ready to tell my parents that I was pregnant we enlisted Atlas to help. He wore a t-shirt over to my parents' house that said, "I was the baby first!" It took my parents a few minutes to figure it out but when they did, they were thrilled just like us!

more than a year of catching up!

So obviously we're not great at keeping up with this blog... but we're going to do our best to get better at it! Last time we posted we had a brand new puppy - well he is a year and half old now and he's tons of fun! So here's a picture of Atlas on his 1st birthday (October 25, 2008).

Our First "Baby"

For Christmas Wesley bought me a wonderful little Sheltie puppy! We named him Atlas (after the rockets that Wes works on every day). We brought him home when he was only eight weeks old and 2.5 lbs. In just four weeks he has already grown a ton! so we thought we'd share a few pictures now of his first few days at home with us.

How can you not love this face?


When Atlas first came home he was so tiny he could fit just about anywhere.


Our cousins Heidi and Ben were here for Atlas' first day at home. Clearly the kids are cuter than the puppy, and we're okay with that. :)
